Garden Initiate | Garden Initiate Gallery
With each volume of the Spider Garden series, the story of Shaalis the Sacred Androgyne, Castellana Sasaya Nijan, and the Serpentine Sisters has grown larger and more complex. In Garden Initiate, I will explore some of the ideas that I haven't had time or room to include in the series of graphic novels.
Functioning as a guide to the Garden and the world beyond it's walls, Garden Initiate will include: portraits and profiles of major characters, excerpts from Sasaya's journal detailing her initiation into Shaalis' service, maps of the Spider Garden, Hydrophidian, and other locations, a history of the long and tumultuous relationship between humans and Tengu,
and much more.
Lavishly illustrated with drawings and comix strips, Garden Initiate will provide a detailled behind-the-scenes view of a universe whose boundaries are constantly expanding.
